الذكاء الاصطناعي ما هي الصناعات ذات التأثير الأكبر؟

On June 14, consulting firm McKinsey released a study entitled “The Economic Potential of Generative Artificial Intelligence,” in which analysts explored the impact of AI on the global economy through a study of 850 occupations in 47 countries and regions (more than 80% of the global workforce), which industries will have the greatest impact and which people face the threat of unemployment. What industries will be hit the most and who is threatened with unemployment?
The following are the main contents of the report:
1, AI to replace human work was significantly advanced by 10 years, between 2030 and 2060 (the midpoint of 2045) 50% of occupations gradually replaced by AI.
2, AI could bring $2.6 trillion to $4.4 trillion in annual growth to the global economy, with a 0.1%-0.6% increase in productivity, equivalent to an annual contribution to the UK’s GDP.
3, the global view of AI is beneficial to the development of various industries, but not to individuals, and the highly paid, highly educated brain workers will be hit the hardest.
4, generative AI brings value growth, mainly (about 75%) concentrated in four areas: customer operations, marketing and sales, software engineering and research and development, which also means that the four businesses are most affected by generative AI.
5, generative human AI and other technological developments may make 60% to 70% of the current work to be automated. Among them, the banking industry, high-tech industry and life sciences industries are the most affected by the impact.
AI subversion of all walks of life?
McKinsey said the impact of generative AI is concentrated in four areas (about 75%): customer operations, marketing and sales, software engineering, and R&D.
The development of generative AI and other technologies may automate 60 to 70 percent of current jobs. Among the industries that will be most affected are banking, high-tech and life sciences:
As new technology improves customer satisfaction, helps with decision making and reduces fraud through better monitoring, one industry alone, banking, could generate an additional $200 to $340 billion in output through increased productivity. This equates to a 9 to 15 percent increase in operating profit.
In product development, AI can increase productivity by 10 to 15 percent. In life sciences and chemicals, for example, AI could generate potential molecules faster and accelerate the process of developing new drugs and materials, which could increase the profits of pharmaceutical and medical product companies by as much as 25 percent.
In terms of impact on marketing productivity, generative AI can increase the economic value of marketing productivity by 5 to 15 percent. Our analysis of the potential uses of AI in marketing found that in addition to the direct impact on productivity, there would be a ripple effect that would increase sales productivity by 3 to 5 percent.
Generative AI incorporated into various applications can provide higher quality data insights, bringing new ideas to marketing campaigns and better targeting customer segments. Marketing functions can shift resources to producing higher-quality content for owned channels, potentially reducing outsourcing spend.
In terms of software engineering, generative AI directly impacts approximately 20 to 45 percent of annual software engineering spending. This value comes primarily from reducing the time spent on certain tasks, such as generating initial code, code fixes and refactoring, root cause analysis, and generating new system designs. One study found that software developers using Microsoft GitHub Copilot completed tasks 56 percent faster than those who did not use the tool.
In terms of product development, we believe that generative AI can accelerate time to market and bring productivity gains and operational convenience in two ways: optimizing product design and improving product quality.
The report is a bit informative, and Traders feel that AI technology is now gradually moving out of the confines of the lab and into our daily lives. What changes will AI bring to us in the future? There is no definite answer to this question, as Southwind said: “No matter how we envision the future, it is just a childish attempt”.
The development of technology is multi-faceted, and no matter what kind of changes AI will bring in the future, there is one thing we can firmly believe in, and that is to respect the objective laws of technological development and leave the problems of technological development to the development itself. We can actively prepare for the future, but there is no need to worry excessively.
